What is the difference between a Backing Track and a Karaoke disc?

We have lots of singers using our Karaoke discs as backing tracks, and most of the time it is not a problem. The difference between a Karaoke disc and a designated backing track is the amount of vocals on the track. A Karaoke disc is a remake of the original song with just the lead vocal removed, any backing vocals will still be on the disc. A backing track is usually just an instrumental version of the song, without any vocals what so ever. That is the difference, so if you are planning to use Karaoke discs as your backing tracks, please make sure that a few backing vocals are ok before ordering.
